About
The Warehouse Point Junior Fifes & Drums was formed in 1993 for the purpose of preserving the tradition of ancient fifing and drumming that has existed in the village of Warehouse Point since 1880.
A unique feature of the corps is the extent to which families are involved. Parental interest and participation is key to the success of any youth organization and this one is no different. We are very proud to have many dedicated and committed families as members of the corps.
Parents are represented on our board of directors, they assist with fund-raising when necessary and are always willing to march alongside the corps as support personnel. There are some who choose to participate in the corps directly by marching with our young banner carriers, and those with musical ability also help instruct. …All done voluntarily, and with much enthusiasm. We encourage parental involvement, and are never disappointed with the results.
Our staff of instructors has had many years of fife and drum experience, which allows us to teach at all ability levels – from the novice player to the more advanced musician.
